CAPTIVATE Immersion is a week-long program for talented students which takes place in week 8 & 9 of term 4. This program is targeted at exceptional music, dance and drama students, enabling them to experience a rigorous program extending and exposing them to challenging performance outcomes.
In 2017 CAPTIVATE Immersion dates are Friday 1st December - Thursday 7th December in school hours, followed by a performance on the Thursday night.
Auditions for CAPTIVATE Immersion are:
• DRAMA --> 4-5pm, Wednesday 25th Oct (Catherine McAuley, Westmead)
• DANCE --> 4-5pm, Thursday 26th Oct (Diocesan Assembly Centre, Blacktown)
• MUSIC --> Upload audition file to this registration form by Wednesday 25th October.

Drama Auditions will be in the form of a creative drama class. Students will work with others on a series of fun drama exercises exploring voice, physicality, imagination, creativity and teamwork. Students are not required to prepare for this audition or perform an audition piece. You can either wear school uniform or comfortable clothes you can move freely in.
Dance Auditions will be in the form of a technique lesson, learning and performing a sequence of movement in small groups and participating in a group composition exercise. Students will work with others on a series of fun dance exercises exploring, physical theatre, jazz & contemporary dance as well as creative play and teamwork. Students are not required to prepare for this audition or perform an audition piece. You can either wear school sports uniform or comfortable clothes you can move freely in and remember to bring a water bottle.
SINGERS: Perform a piece of your choice with appropriate accompaniment (i.e. piano, guitar, backing track etc). This piece should demonstrate your vocal abilities.
INSTRUMENTALISTS: Perform a piece of your choice (with or without accompaniment) which demonstrates your ability on your instrument. You need to have been playing your instrument for at least 4 years.
